This poses significant risks both to all companies whose business requires raw materials from nature, clean water, and pollination of plants, and to the many investors and banks that have granted loans to or invested in these companies. Therefore, it is important that companies and financial institutions worldwide become better at taking care of nature and working to reverse the nature and biodiversity crisis. For this reason, the UN Global Compact Network Denmark and Finance Denmark have set up a Nordic consultation group revolving around the recommendations of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD). This Nordic group will facilitate knowledge sharing and the exchange of experiences among companies and financial institutions that want to work strategically and risk-based on nature and biodiversity and learn more about the global work performed under the auspices of TNFD. The group is recognized and directly supported by TNFD. The main objectives of the group are: Knowledge-sharing on nature and biodiversity among Nordic companies and financial institutions Updates directly from TNFD on methodologies and sector guidance Good practice examples from Early Adopters of the TNFD framework What you commit to in this group: You will receive news and updates on upcoming events, but you are not committed to participate. Everyone will receive slides and recordings after each meeting in the group. Register to the group About Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures The Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) has developed a set of disclosure recommendations and guidance that encourage and enable business and finance to assess, report and act on their nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks and opportunities. The recommendations and guidance will enable businesses and finance to integrate nature into decision making. Our aim is to support a shift in global financial flows away from nature-negative outcomes and toward nature-positive outcomes, aligned with the Global Biodiversity Framework.
